ABSR ANNUAL MEETING
By Sandy Komasinski
On Saturday, September 6, fifty-five ABSR members and board members attended the ABSR Annual Meeting at Joe & Freddy's Bar & Grill. President Nancy Nichols welcomed the attendees and thanked the board members and volunteers for all their hard work during the past year.
Treasurer Tom Dodd presented a review of our finances year-to-date. The organization is in good financial standing. ABSR makes annual contributions to the Depot and ERG. In the past year we also made a significant donation to the Town’s playground improvement project and the reflective sign initiative with BSVFD. Tom also reminded the attendees that volunteers are the heart of ABSR events.
On behalf of the Nominating Committee, Annette Young presented the 2025-26 slate of directors. Nancy Nichols moved to approve the slate as presented and the new Board was elected unanimously by voice vote.

Not returning to the board are Janene Jonas and Bobbi Petru. Nancy offered thanks for their service. She also acknowledged the late Paul Zucker for his contributions to ABSR over many years.
Monique Rub reminded all that September 20 is the Neighborhood Backyard/Block Parties. Maps with the host homes were available, as well as will be emailed to the membership.
The meeting was adjourned about 10 a.m. and the group went on to a delicious brunch
