This year’s Garden and Art Walk, “Celebrating Our Roots,” has two meanings.
First, it celebrates the beginning of the Walk by honoring founder Elizabeth Thornberg whose garden is included this year.
Second, there is a focus on Bartlett homes, the original homes built in Beverly Shores.
This year, you are invited to experience gardens with a peek into some Bartlett homes on Sunday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Please allow yourself enough time to see all the properties and, perhaps a chat with the artists.! Plein air artists will be painting onsite and some paintings will be available for sale.
Your ticket purchase includes an entry to a raffle for an original painting by a local artis Parking at the homes is limited. We encourage guests to use bicycles and golf carts, or ride the shuttle bus.
In addition, guests must be able to manage stairs at some houses.
Guests may check in at the Administration Building at 500 Broadway to get a wristband that admits them to all gardens and the free shuttle bus, plus a garden location map with a brochure describing the gardens. If not using the available shuttle, guests are encouraged to use golf carts, bikes, or their feet to view the gardens, so parking does not become problematic on our narrow streets. Please remember that bathroom facilities at individual homes will not be available. Please use the restrooms at the Administration Building, the Depot, or at Lake View Beach near Rebora Plaza. All are on or near the bus route.
