The ABSR is proud to host events and participate in activities in and around Beverly Shores, Indiana. The follow is are descriptions of most of the annual events that the ABSR sponsors.

Winterfest
Winterfest includes a chili cook-off, burning of Christmas trees, a sleigh
ride, and everyone

International Buffet
Is a annual winter event, where the community comes together and have a pot
luck buffet and talent show. For information about the 2003 Internation Buffet

Is held on Easter weekend and kids of all ages are invited. [photos 2002][photos 2001]
Spring Cleanup
The Town's Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday April 20. Everyone is encouraged to pitch in. If you cannot attend on the 20th, contact Janet or Ken Cypra for a possible assignment or to volunteer to "adopt a block" for the entire season.
The hours of the cleanup will be 9am to noon. Volunteers should first report to the Administration Building to enjoy coffee and doughnuts and to choose the area for which they will be responsible. Gloves and bags for both recyclables and non-recyclables trash will be provided.
ABSR will have several pickup trucks available to pickup the full bags, or residents may deliver the collected trash to the dumpsters behind the Administration Building. At 11:30 the Dunes Women's Club will welcome all volunteers back to the Administration Building for a lunch of hot dogs, chips, pop, and fellowship.
Is usually held the third Saturday in April on Earth day. The community meets at the Administration Building to choose a street to clean. Upon completion of the clean-up people return to the Administration Building for hot dogs.
Smelt Fry
The Smelt Fry is held the evening after the Spring Cleanup. This year (2002) the event will begin at 6pm at Lithuanica Park. Bring your own beverages and gather around the clubhouse. For those unable to help earlier in the day, a donation will be requested.

The 2003 Summerfest is Saturday July 19, 2003.

Annual Meeting
The 2003 ABSR annual meeting will be held on September 27th at the Blue Chip
Hotel and Casino. Please see the newsletter for addition information or
contact the ABSR at info@absr.org. As usual
this promises to be a fun event.
In 2002 the ABSR celebrated its 50th Anniversary and the ABSR
dinner was held on September 14 2002 at the Heston Hills Banquet Hall in

Halloween

Has some very scary possibilities in Beverly Shores. A community trick or treat is arranged, in past years we have had hay rides to transport the children through the community. If you want the little goblins and ghouls to stop at your house, please sign up at Jansen's Dunes Mart. [photos]

The Fireman's Ball
Is a charity event for the Beverly Shores Volunteer Fire Department and is usually held on 4th of July weekend. This year the Beverly Shores Fireman's Ball will be held on July 6, 2002.
